The latest Ferris Wheel Press fountain pen ink series takes us on a journey all the way to the acclaimed Piccadilly Circus region in London. This bustling hub and commercial district boasts an expansive thoroughfare and is part of the core of the city centre. The phrase “it's like Piccadilly Circus,” is commonly used in the UK to refer to a place or situation which is extremely busy with people. It has been said that a person who stays long enough at Piccadilly Circus will eventually bump into everyone they know.
Within the bustling district on an offshoot street, lives a bookshop that could be easily missed. For those paying attention, they will discover this quiet gem which houses a collection of rare and fine prints. All of the treasures and untold stories found here became the inspiration for The Bookshoppe Collection, our newest series of fountain pen inks arriving in the fall and winter of 2021.
In this collection, we start by appreciating the architectural charm of a vintage bookshop as we peruse the streetscape. We then enter the shop and become enamoured by the collection of curiosities that bring every shelf to life. Finally, we pick up a single book from the shelf to appreciate the craftsmanship of antique bookbinding.
